Jaguars vs. Texans: What’s your score prediction for Week 9?

The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6) and Houston Texans (1-6) are battling it out in Week 9 of the 2020 NFL season.

Will this be a bounce back game for this Jacksonville team after six straight losses? Will Deshaun Watson pick us apart?

Before the game begins, we wanted to ask the Big Cat Country team (and you!) a simple question... and we’re going to have John Shipley of Sports Illustrated join us this season too!

“How will the Jaguars do today?”

Alfie Crow (@AlfieBCC)

The Jaguars will continue to struggle to get their offense going and Houston has enough with Deshaun Watson to get the job done.

Texans win 24-10

Record: 3-4

I bet my mortgage on the Texans covering a -7.0 spread so... yeah. Jaguars losing big, y’all.

Texans win 30-16

Record: 5-2

Jacksonville hasn’t allowed less than 30 points since the opening game, so I expect Deshaun Watson and company to score at will. I have no idea what to expect from Jake Luton, but I do expect a heavy dose of James Robinson against a porous run defense, although the Texans did shut him down in the first meeting. Despite Houston also being 1-6 (with its lone win coming against the Jaguars) I can’t trust the Jaguars to win this game.

Texans win 30-17

Record: 3-4

This game could possibly swing in the Jaguars favor with Texans defenders Bradley Roby and Whitney Mercilus not playing. However, that would mean the Jaguars move the ball on offense and I don’t think they can do that.

Texans win 27-10

Record: 2-5

The Jaguars are starting a rookie quarterback and are already 1-6 on the season. If they are to win a game it would probably be this one, but Jake Luton can’t get it done today and neither can the Jaguars.

Texans win 28-14

Record: 2-5

John Shipley (@_John_Shipley)

Deshaun Watson tears up Jacksonville’s defense while Jake Luton is unable to make any big plays in the passing game

Texans win 33-16

Record: 5-2
