Jaguars almost set NFL record in 7th straight loss

NFL: Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars nearly set an NFL record in their seventh straight loss on the season, 27-25 against the Houston Texans on Sunday. The Jaguars nearly set an NFL record with the most consecutive games allowing 30 or more points.

Rookie Jake Luton played just fine in his debut, connecting on a 73-yard touchdown pass to wide receive D.J. Chark on his second ever NFL pass. Luton was picked on a deep ball later in the game and had a few other errant passes dropped by defenders, but overall did an OK job considering it was his first ever NFL action.

The Jaguars defense once again had some moments of excellent play from the likes of Myles Jack, but ultimately some tough plays by rookie first round pick C.J. Henderson and some amazing plays by Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson did them in once again.

The Jaguars move to 1-7 on the season with a tough game on the road against the Green Bay Packers on the horizon.
