The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently 14.0-point underdogs for their Week 10 away matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
That’s a big line and it’s deserved — Aaron Rodgers is leading a top-10 passing unit in the NFL with his best target being Davante Adams, who has been giving even good secondary units fits. What will they do to this Jaguars defensive backfield? Whew.
Anyway, that’s all according to Bovada, who has the over/under set at 53.5 points.
In short, Vegas thinks the Packers win with a score around 33-20.
Traditionally, the home team in NFL games are given a free three points and then the line goes from there, so this is saying that the Jaguars would lose by two scores at home. The team has looked more competent in recent weeks, but I still think that’s a fair margin of victory.
And while this team covered the spread yesterday, it was through a fluke last minute drive against Texans backups. Without Jake Luton pulling a rabbit out of his hat in the final seconds of the game, it would have been the fourth straight week this team had failed to cover.
