Happy Friday, everyone! Here’s all the Jacksonville Jaguars news that’s fit to print... around the Internet.
We’ve got Devine Ozigbo’s creative workouts in the midst of a global pandemic, Shad Khan’s thoughts on Yannick Ngakoue, and more!
Devine Ozigbo is getting creative with his workouts
The coronavirus pandemic has closed down offseason workouts for programs in college football and also shuttered NFL facilities this spring. That has forced athletes to get creative with offseason workouts. A number of college and pro players have posted videos of themselves pushing or pulling trucks to get some work in.
Former Nebraska running back Devine Ozigbo is among those trying to make the best out of a tough situation this offseason and showed off a little creativity with his workout this week on social media.
Leonard Fournette: “Some people are gonna be surprised this year.”
Throughout last season, Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette appeared to do everything right. The former LSU tailback came into training camp in shape, and ready to roll, and parleyed that into the best season of his short NFL career.
“I do believe the Jaguars are gonna put a couple pieces around me, try to get everything going. We have a great quarterback [Gardner] Minshew, we got DJ [Chark], we got Dede [Westbrook], we gonna put some pieces together with our line, we have tight ends,” said Fournette. “I think some people gonna be surprised next year.”

Shad Khan wants to keep Yannick Ngakoue
Jacksonville Jaguars pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue has been crystal clear: He wants to play elsewhere starting in 2020. But with two weeks until the NFL Draft, it remains to be seen whether the team is even close to granting his not-so-subtle requests. CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco said recently that Jaguars owner Shad Khan does not want to trade Ngakoue, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter echoed that notion on Wednesday during an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic.
”There will be people in the organization, like the owner, who will not want to move him,” Schefter said, “which means that they’ll be firmer in their price. But if they don’t trade him, they’ve got a mess on their hands.”

Jaguars will buy and distribute 45,000 protective masks
In an effort to fight back against the outbreak of COVID-19 in the local community, the Jacksonville Jaguars are doing their part to ensure local companies and non-profits have the means to protect themselves.
The Jaguars announced Wednesday that the team would be purchasing 45,000 team-branded protective masks to distribute throughout the Jacksonville community. This comes on the heels of Jaguars legend Tony Boselli speaking out about his own battle against the coronavirus, which he just recently recovered from.
