The 2020 NFL Draft just wrapped up 48 hours ago and we’ve already got 2021 NFL Draft mocks.
You heathens.
The Athletic’s Dane Brugler took the Super Bowl odds for each team and created a draft order going from least likely to most likely to win a championship this year — and of course, the Jacksonville Jaguars come away with the No. 1 overall pick.
So, who does Brugler think the Jaguars come away with? Well, if they’re picking first it means that Gardner Minshew is obviously not the answer or he’s been injured. Either way, this front office and coaching staff won’t be given a second year of punting so they’ll need to go after the best quarterback in the class.
1. Jacksonville Jaguars — *Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
The Jaguars will give Gardner Minshew the chance to prove he is the long-term option next season. But if it doesn’t work out, Jacksonville will be in position to land Lawrence, who might have been drafted ahead of Burrow if he were eligible in the 2020 class.
He’s the consensus best quarterback of the 2021 draft and he’s been that way almost the entire season. Barring a cliff that he stumbles off of this season, he’ll be the first quarterback chosen next year around this time.
What do you think? Would Trevor Lawrence be a good pick for this Jaguars team if they hold the No. 1 overall pick? Or would you want to give Gardner Minshew one more season? Let us know in the comments below!
