Draft Pick Jersey Numbers

I saw on the Jaguars Facebook page a post of the draft picks' jersey numbers. In the era of COVID-19 lockdown, I have resorted to commentary on jersey numbers!

C.J. Henderson #21 -- Makes sense to me! I do hope that as good as the last #21 was for this team, this guy is SO MUCH better!

K'Lavon Chaisson #45 -- I find it interesting that both he and Josh Allen ended up with jersey numbers more indicative of them as LBs than DEs. The conversation about 3-4 vs 4-3 has happened, and I am not going to delve into that here. I just find this kind of interesting.

Laviska Shenault #10 -- When we look back on the kid, I hope his play has endeared him to us the way that former Jags kicker did!

DaVon Hamilton #52 -- He wore #53 in college, so I should not be surprised he stuck with a number in the 50s. I just prefer my big bodied guys to have jersey numbers as big as possible

Ben Bartch #78 -- Nothing to see here. #78 in college, #78 in the NFL.

Josiah Scott #24 -- He wore #22 in college, and with Rashaan Melvin around, I guess Scott opted for #24. Nothing too exciting!

Shaq Quarterman #50 -- With the developments yesterday, I am not surprised that Telvin's jersey number has been given away. Prior to yesterday, I may have been a bit more surprised that it was not held over until there was a little more certainty that Telvin was never coming back.

Daniel Thomas #20 -- May I introduce Jalen Ramsey 2.0 (who does not even play the same position as Ramsey). Seriously though, I am cool with this number being thrown right back into the mix. This is me thinking about things too much, but since #24 was Thomas' number in college, why not let him keep it, and make Scott pick a different number?

Collin Johnson #19 -- #9 in college, number #19 in the NFL. I find it interesting how with the exception of Keelan Cole, every WR on this team will likely have a number in the 10s as opposed to the 80s

Jake Luton #6 -- Cool! I hope he is better than Cody Kessler.

Tyler Davis #87 -- Alright, sounds good to me!

Chris Claybrooks #7 -- So the real reason for the entire post was to make sense of this. How is he being allowed to wear #7? Aren't there restrictions based upon position. What position will he be listed as?
