We’re counting down to the 2020 NFL preseason opener between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers what would have been the preseason opener but we’re a week-and-a-half in now that the preseason has been cut in half by ranking all 51 regular season wins over the past decade.
Today at No. 42? Dominating the Baltimore Ravens in London and the second largest margin of victory in the entire decade.
Week 3 — September 24, 2017
Before we begin, this game started out with something that was momentous at the time. The Jacksonville Jaguars had never had a player kneel in protest during the national anthem before a game. But that doesn’t mean there weren’t conversations in the locker room about kneeling or Colin Kaepernick — or that current and former players alike didn’t see and hear current President Donald Trump refer to anthem protesters as “that son of a bitch”.
The President then doubled down and said team owners should fire the protesters and would gain notoriety for doing so.
So what did Shad Khan and the entire Jaguars and Ravens organizations kneeling or locking arms during the national anthem.

It was the first time an owner had taken part in a demonstration before the national anthem.
Now, onto the game...
After a three-and-out by the Ravens on the first drive, the Jaguars put up points on their first drive, as they were held to a field goal after getting to the Ravens five-yard line. Myers made the 25-yard field goal, notching the score at 3-0.
The Ravens went three and out again, and this time the Jaguars drive would end on a sweeter note. Blake Bortles lead the team down the field for a seven-play, 80 -yard drive. The drive was capped off by a fake end around to Marqise Lee, which lead to Marcedes Lewis being open off a wheel route in the end-zone. Myers made the extra point, extending the Jaguars lead to 10-0.

Good things come in threes, right?
Well, the Jaguars forced the Ravens into three straight three-and-outs to begin the game. The Jaguars drive ended in a score once again, though this only being a field goal. Myers hit the 45-yard field goal, to cap off a 10-play drive for the Jaguars. Myers kick extended the Jaguars lead to 13-0.
Maybe good things come in... fours?
The Jaguars yet again forced the Ravens into a three-and-out, as the defensive line and secondary dominated the Ravens early on in the game. The proceeding drive, the Jaguars had their first drive of the game that ended in no points. However, the did not have to wait long for things to turn their way again.
On first down for the Ravens, Flacco would complete his first pass of the game, except it would be the cornerback A.J. Bouye, who tipped the ball up in their air, came down with it, and was able to return the interception for 19 yards, setting the Jaguars up in great field position.

The Jaguars took advantage. Wait, the Jaguars took advantage? Bortles tossed a five-yard touchdown to Allen Hurns, who withstood a huge hit in the end zone, gave the Jaguars their second touchdown of the day. Myers made the extra point, and the Jaguars (WHO ARE THESE JAGUARS?) took a 20-0 lead.
On the ensuing drive, the Ravens finally recorded a first down (golf clap) and that was the only positive for the Ravens on their drive as they were forced to punt.
The Jaguars added on another field goal before the end of the half. Myers hit a 29-yard field goal to extend the lead to 23-0.
Oh, and the Ravens went three-and-out again.
The second half only continued the domination for the Jaguars as Jalen Ramsey picked off Joe Flacco on the Ravens first drive of the second half.

The Jaguars responded accordingly, with Bortles throwing another touchdown to Lewis, extending the lead to 30-0.

The Jaguars continued to pour it on, adding two more touchdown to put the game completely out of reach.

Another touchdown to Lewis, and a Leonard Fournette 3 yard touchdown run. These two scores added to the punishing on the Ravens 44-0.
This game was absolutely insane.
The Ravens added on a touchdown in garbage time, and avoided the shutout losing 44-7 in London.
Why the ranking at No. 42?
Like we said, this was only the second largest margin of victory of the decade. Not very Jaguars.
Up tomorrow?
