Jaguars DL Rodney Gunter stepping away from football

The lineman was recently singed by the Jaguars in March

In what is unexpected news, recently signed Jaguars DE Rodney Gunter is stepping away from football due to a heart condition.

In a post on social media, Gunter said he saw several heart specialists who told him that if he continues to play football, he could have a ruptured aorta, which could lead to death.

Gunter signed a three year deal with the Jaguars this March after playing for the Arizona Cardinals since when he was drafted in 2015.
