In a surprise move on Monday, the Jacksonville Jaguars have announced they have waived former first-round pick running back Leonard Fournette.
We have waived RB Leonard Fournette.

The team has reportedly been trying to trade Fournette for some time now, with the most recent being right before this year’s NFL Draft, but to no avail.
Originally the No. 4 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft — the same class that saw Deshaun Watson, Patrick Mahomes, and Christian McCaffrey drafted after him — Fournette never really lived up to his draft slot. That’s not necessarily his fault as running backs will always have a hard time matching production to the kind of impact a top-five spot in any draft.
But three seasons, 3,640 yards from scrimmage, and 19 total touchdowns later, Fournette will be looking for a new team.
We’ll always have this, Leonard.
