Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said there was no trade value for running back Leonard Fournette when discussing why the team outright cut him this morning.

“Fifth, sixth, we couldn’t get anything,” Marrone said on Monday morning.

I can understand not wanting to give Fournette a contract extension. I don’t think he’s been good enough to warrant it. But to cut him outright in a rebuild season is... strange. The running backs room was already rough enough and now you’ve compounded the problem by getting rid of a guy who was at least serviceable.
