The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently 8.0 point underdogs against the Indianapolis Colts, a line that has inched a little towards Jacksonville as the line opened at as many as 9.5 points.
That’s according to Bovada, who has the over/under set at 45 points.
In short, Vegas thinks the Jaguars lose somewhere in the ballpark of 27-17 to 27-20 this weekend.
Traditionally, the home team in NFL games are given a free three points and then the line goes from there, so this is saying that the Jaguars would lose by... well... a lot in Indianapolis which is fair.
Why? Because our defense is on the decline and the only position group that has improved relies on a question mark at quarterback in Gardner Minshew. I’m staying away from the line though because things could always get wacky in Week 1 but that over/under looks enticing. I’ll take the over.
What do you think? Are you betting the line on either the Jaguars or Colts? Or are you going over or under? Let us know in the comments below!
