The Jacksonville Jaguars will be hosting the Indianapolis Colts today for Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season with kickoff at 1pm EST.

It’s time to see what this young roster can do. Will Philip Rivers continue to have his way with our defense? Can Gardner Minshew answer some of the questions lingering from the end of last season? How will the 18 rookies on this active roster do in a real, live NFL game?

Stay with us all through the afternoon as we live blog the game as it happens, and feel free to join the conversation in the comments as the day progresses. We’ll have postgame coverage as well following the conclusion of the game.

LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Live blog

3:57 PM: WE WON. 1-0. EAT IT, NFL. GOOD NIGHT, EVERYONE.

3:44 PM: Josh Lambo is good from 46 yards out. We are winning 27-20. Oh my God.

3:39 PM: ANDREW WINGARD WITH THE INTERCEPTION! MY EMOTIONS!

3:37 PM: GARDNER MINSHEW TO KEELAN COLE FOR THE LEAD! LET’S GO!

3:31 PM: LEONARD WHO?

3:26 PM: The NERD is good from 25 yards out. Only down 20-17 in the fourth quarter. MINSHEW MAGIC TIME.

3:15 PM: Ugh. K’Lavon Chaisson interception negated by a D.J. Hayden penalty.

2:58 PM: Josh Lambo nails a 50-yard field goal to tie the game at 17. WHEW!

2:51 PM: AND RODRIGO BLANKENSHIP MISSED THE FIELD GOAL! TOO BAD, NERD.

2:36 PM: James Robinson makes NFL history! He has more yards in Week 1 in their professional debut than any other undrafted running back in NFL history!

2:26 PM: And there’s a Colts field goal before halftime. In all seriousness, the offense looks much better than I thought it would. MUCH. James Robinson is playing like a true RB1, the receivers have caught 10/11 targets, and the offensive line has been good overall.

The defense needs to do better in the middle of the field.

2:15 PM: And now it’s Laviska Shenault’s turn! Man, this was a great route and run after the catch. We’ve got a tie game!

2:01 PM: Nyheim Hines scores again, this time a short screen near the end zone.

1:49 PM: Gardner Minshew to D.J. Chark for the first touchdown of the season! Looked off Laviska Shenault near the sideline to buy Chark more time. Love it.

1:44 PM: That’s C.J. Henderson’s first NFL interception, y’all!

1:38 PM: End of the first quarter and we’re only down 7-0 and we have the ball. OKAY THEN!

1:37 PM: Whew. Not ideal from Jawaan Taylor here.

1:30 PM: Colts go for it on fourth down near the end zone and the Jaguars get a stop! Josh Allen and Abry Jones come up big.

1:19 PM: James Robinson looked decent on the opening drive, but a penalty by Brandon Linder on a long run killed the drive. Sigh...

1:10 PM: The Jaguars gave up the first Sunday touchdown of the season... a 6-yard run by Nyheim Hines.

12:35 PM: All Jaguars players will remain in their locker rooms during the anthems as a show of solidarity.

11:43 AM: We’ve released their inactive list for Week 1 and it all looks pretty standard except for one notable addition. Dede Westbrook is on there and he wasn’t included on any part of this week’s injury report leading up to the game. That means he’s a healthy scratch.

The Westbrook scratch also means that if you stashed away Laviska Shenault as a late-round fantasy draft pick, well...

6:25 AM: Take THAT, tarps.

6:09 AM: Some new rules for 2020 allow the Jaguars to have an active roster of 55 players on game day, so we elevated a rookie running back and rookie tight end yesterday. Read more about that here.

6:00 AM: This was beautiful yesterday out of TIAA Bank Field and no one can tell me any different.

5:54 AM: I agree, Adam.
