Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans: Week 2 live blog

Follow along all day for coverage and live commentary before, during, and after the game as the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 2 of the regular season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be traveling to play the Tennessee Titans for Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season.

While it’s early in the season, this game will define the season. The team has struggled recently in Nashville, not able to win an away game against the Titans since 2013. But last week, Jacksonville proved their offense is more than functional enough to score. If their defense can continue to play “bend-but-don’t-break” football, this Week 2 matchup is going to be closer than people think.

Stay with us all through the afternoon as we live blog the game as it happens, and feel free to join the conversation in the comments as the day progresses. We’ll have postgame coverage as well following the conclusion of the game.

LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

How to watch

Need to find out how to watch, stream, or listen to today’s game? We got you covered here.

Live blog

4:00 PM: Game over. Gardner Minshew’s pass batted at the line. I’m sick.

3:57 PM: Just an absolutely awful call on Myles Jack puts the Titans in field goal range. Stephen Gostkowski is good from 49 yards out. Titans up 33-30 with 1:36 left.

3:35 PM: TIE BALL GAME! Gardner Minshew with an absolute dime and Chris Thompson with a hell of a catch. We’re at 30-30 in the fourth quarter.

3:23 PM: WE GOT A STOP ON THIRD DOWN!

3:22 PM: TOUCHDOWN! Gardner Minshew scrambles to the right and sees Keelan Cole open in the back of the end zone.

3:13 PM: James Robinson with the 39-yard burst up the middle. This offense is impressive.

2:57 PM: Jaguars come out and put together one of the most impressive drives in recent history — 89 yards and capped off by James Robinson’s first NFL touchdown. Let’s go!

2:26 PM: A nice field goal drive is negated by a terrible squib kick from Josh Lambo. Tennessee gets the field goal. Halftime score is 24-10. Yikes.

2:17 PM: Another touchdown from Ryan Tannehill to Jonnu Smith. This is getting bad.

2:09 PM: Long drive by the Titans being extended by some of the worst calls I’ve ever seen. Atrocious refereeing.

1:45 PM: SACK! K’Lavon Chaisson comes on a blitz and get his first NFL sack on third down.

1:31 PM: TOUCHDOWN! Gardner Minshew to Tyler Eifert on third down. Beautiful throw and catch, my word.

1:26 PM: Ugh. Tennessee turns the interception into points. Corey Davis scores over C.J. Henderson. This is gonna be a long day, huh?

1:23 PM: INTERCEPTION! Collin Johnson tips it, but it looks like the ball was going to the tight end behind him.

1:09 PM: They’re picking on Andrew Wingard early. Jaguars down 7-0.

12:57 PM: James Lofton just referred to Jadeveon Clowney as “the ultimate Allen wrench” because he’s a huge tool, amirite?

12:53 PM: This got me hyped and depressed all at the same time. Go Jaguars.

11:35 AM: Titans inactives include: WR A.J. Brown, DE Vic Beasley, RB Darrynton Evans, LB Derrick Roberson, OL Jamil Douglas, TE Geoff Swaim, and DT Isaiah Mack.

Brown being out is huge. Forces the Titans to rely on lesser receivers in the passing game.

11:32 AM: Jaguars inactives include: QB Jake Luton, WR Dede Westbrook, CB Josiah Scott, CB Luq Barcoo, DT Doug Costin, and TE Tyler Davis.

Westbrook out again, huh? Hmmmm.

9:35 AM: Always been a big Kyle Long fan, why do you ask?

6:04 AM: As a reminder, the Titans leading receiver from last season is out today. He led the Titans in receptions (52), yards (1,051), and touchdowns (8) last season by a wide margin, so his absence will be noticeable.

5:32 AM: Josh Allen’s shirt is absolute God-tier.
