Jaguars vs. Titans final score: Jacksonville loses on late field goal

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans Steve Roberts-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Tennessee Titans on the road 33-30 on Sunday, thanks to a late long field goal. It was a rough start for the Jaguars, giving up a huge play on the first play of the game and going down early in the game multiple scores. The Jaguars fought back however, tying the game in the fourth quarter thanks to a pinpoint touchdown pass from Gardner Minshew II to running back Chris Thompson.

The Jaguars defense came up with a key stop late in the game to give the Jaguars offense the ball back, but an unblock Jadeveon Clowney forced a quick three and out and put it back on the Jaguars young defense to make a play. The defense looked like it made a stop with a great play by Myles Jack, but a questionable pass interference call gave the Titans new life to get in field goal range.

Stephen Gostkowski nailed the 49-yard game winner.

The Jaguars offense made a valiant effort with under a minute and half left with no timeouts, but just couldn’t get there one last time as the Titans tipped a Minshew pass at the line and picked it off.
