2020 NFL odds Week 3: Jaguars are 3.0 point favorites vs. Dolphins

The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently 3.0 point favorites against the Miami Dolphins, but I expect that line to inch a little further away from Jacksonville into 3.5 or even 4.0 territory.

That’s according to Bovada, who has the over/under set at 48.0 points.

In short, Vegas thinks the Jaguars to win 26-23 this weekend.

Traditionally, the home team in NFL games are given a free three points and then the line goes from there, so this is saying that the Jaguars and Dolphins are equal teams on a neutral field which is a little more palatable when you consider just how bad our defense has been.

As I said, I think this line is going to get further away from Jacksonville but not by much. Miami has played close in their first two games and Jacksonville may know how to score but they let games get away from them early. If the defense can go back to their Week 1 “bend-but-don’t-break” play and the offense continues to ascend, this Week 3 matchup is going to blow the over out of the water while seeing Jacksonville cover easily.
