The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed kicker Josh Lambo in injured reserve, meaning he can return in three weeks. The team has signed undrafted rookie Brandon Wright who was a star punter and kicker for Georgia State.

Wright broke school records while at Georgia State. He was a semifinalist for the 2018 Ray Guy Award and a member of the 2018 All-Sun Belt Conference team. Last season, he scored 84 points to break the Georgia State single-season scoring mark, including a school-record 48 points after touchdown. He was 12-for-18 on field goals and 48-for-49 on extra points while averaging 41.8 yards per punt.
In the win at Tennessee, he nailed a 48-yard field goal for a 38-23 lead with 2:37 left. Also averaged 40 yards on two punts and was 5-for-5 on points after the touchdown.
Seems he has an NFL leg and likes winning in Tennessee. He’ll fit right in.
