New Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer has been very busy putting together a solid coaching staff, with most new being about his position coaches.
But today, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has named two veteran coaches as favorites to join the Jaguars — Scott Linehan as offensive coordinator and Joe Cullen as defensive coordinator.
Two intriguing options have emerged for the staff of #Jaguars coach Urban Meyer: OC candidate Scott Linehan interviews early this week and is the favorite, while #Ravens DL coach Joe Cullen is a top target as defensive coordinator. Cullen has impressed in Baltimore since 2016.

Linehan has served as a position coach and as a coordinator for multiple years throughout his career, along with a head coaching gig from 2006-2008 with the then-St.Louis Rams. Most recently he was the Cowboys’ offensive and passing game coordinator from 2014-18. Linehan has experience as a wide receivers coach in the NFL and a quarterbacks coach in the college ranks.
Linehan’s most success as an offensive coordinator would come in 2011-2013 as the Detroit Lions’ offensive coordinator. The Lions during that time ranked fifth, third, and sixth in yards as Lions quarterback Matt Stafford saw his best year as a passer in 2011.
Cullen was the Jaguars defensive line coach from 2010-2012 when the team ranked sixth in yards allowed and fifth in yards.
