Jaguars to interview Marcus Brady for offensive coordinator

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars continue their coaching search, this time requesting permission to interview Indianapolis Colts quarterbacks coach Marcus Brady, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Brady, a former CFL quarterback, has been with the Colts since 2018 and previously spent five seasons as an offensive coordinator with the Montreal Allouetes and the Toronto Argonauts. He is considering a riser in the offensive coaching ranks and has been praised for his work with Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

The Jaguars are looking for an offensive coordinator to help mold everything around likely first overall pick Trevor Lawrence, so it makes since to nab someone like Brady to pair with a young quarterback. The Colts offense was one of the most balanced in the NFL this year, and while Brady was the quarterbacks coach, having been in the room with a potential hall of famer like Philip Rivers is surely going to give some good insight in what to give to a rookie.
