The Jacksonville Jaguars are back in action this week after a much-needed bye week and Week 8 starts tonight with the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals facing off in a possible preview of the NFC Championship Game this year.

It’s wild that Thursday night might bring us the best matchup of the week, but there are still a few great games to watch.

Let’s take a look at the best games on tap for this week, the betting lines, and our thoughts on who will win. Add your predictions in the comments if you’re feeling especially lucky.

NFL Week 8 picks

Green Bay Packers (6-1) vs. Arizona Cardinals (7-0)

Point spread: Packers +6.5, Cardinals -6.5
Over/Under: 50.5
Moneyline: Packers +235, Cardinals -300
My pick: Over 50.5

No, I don’t know why the Over/Under is set at 50.5 points. I think the Cardinals win tonight, but I’m not willing to give the Packers a full touchdown. It’ll be closer than that. And if there’s anything we’ve seen from Thursday Night Football... it’s that chaos rules everything. But I just don’t see a defensive battle playing out between the two best teams in the NFC.

Bet on the Over 50.5 and enjoy hitting it as the fourth quarter starts.

Philadelphia Eagles (2-5) vs. Detroit Lions (0-7)

Point spread: Eagles -3.5, Lions +3.5
Over/Under: 48.5
Moneyline: Eagles -180, Lions +155
My pick: Lions +3.5

The Lions are better than their record, and they should probably have one or two wins by this point. This is Dan Campbell’s get-right game. I hope they dump Starbucks on him after they pull out this victory.

Bet on the Lions to win outright and rake in the free points.

Dallas Cowboys (5-1) vs. Minnesota Vikings (3-3)

Point spread: Cowboys -1.5, Vikings +1.5
Over/Under: 55
Moneyline: Cowboys -125, Vikings +105
My pick: Cowboys -1.5

I... don’t understand this line? Sure, the Cowboys are away from home, but they’re far and away the better team. Why is this being predicted as a 28-27 slugfest? I think Dallas wins by a touchdown and that’s only because Kirk Cousins & Co. throws up a garbage score or two in the fourth quarter.

Bet on the Cowboys to win by more than a field goal.

Seattle Seahawks (2-5) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6)

Point spread: Seahawks -3.5, Jaguars +3.5
Over/Under: 44
Moneyline: Seahawks -190, Jaguars +160
My pick: Over 44

Trevor Lawrence is going to get 40+ pass attempts against a defense that has struggled to win games when opposing quarterbacks take over games. The Jaguars’ secondary is also... well... not that good, so I expect around 28 points from Seattle.

Bet on the Over 44 and do not even touch that spread.
