The Jacksonville Jaguars are still reeling from one of the most humiliating losses in recent franchise history as they gear up to face the Buffalo Bills — the AFC team with the most points scored and the fewest points allowed.
(This Jaguars team is 14.5-point underdogs to Josh Allen & Co. for a reason, folks.)

NFL Week 9 picks
Indianapolis Colts (3-5) vs. New York Jets (2-5)
Point spread: Jets +10, Colts -10
Moneyline: Jets +375, Colts -510
My pick: Over 45.5
Hey, the Mike White-led Jets managed 34 points against a decent Cincinnati Bengals defense last week. And the Colts have some playmakers on offense. I’d have more hesitation if this line were in the 50’s, I’d have some hesitation. As it stands, I’m going for the Over.
Bet on the Over 45.5 and buy a Mike White jersey with the winnings.
New Orleans Saints (5-2) vs. Atlanta Falcons (3-4)
Point spread: Saints -6.5, Falcons +6.5
Moneyline: Saints -255, Falcons +205
My pick: Saints -6.5
This line started out at Saints -4.5 and has only gone up with the bets. I think even with Jameis Winston out, it’s a good Saints team against a Falcons team that is worse than its record.
Bet on the Saints and send Jameis a “Get Well Soon” card.
New England Patriots (4-4) vs. Carolina Panthers (4-4)
Point spread: Patriots -3.5, Panthers +3.5
Moneyline: Patriots -170, Panthers +150
My pick: Over 41
This is one of the closest games of the week (at least according to the Moneyline odds) and so I just don’t see either team getting stuffed on offense. Neither are really all that good... but they’ve gotta be able to score 21 points a piece, right?
Bet on the Over 41 and pray to Bill Belichick for a meaningless field goal to cover the line.
Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6) vs. Buffalo Bills (5-2)
Point spread: Jaguars +14.5, Bills -14.5
Moneyline: Jaguars +700, Bills -1125
My pick: Over 48.5
The Bills might get the Over all by themselves. What an embarrassment of a team.
Bet on the Over 48.5 and schedule some errands to take you out of the house on Sunday.
