Happy Tuesday, everyone! Here’s all the Jacksonville Jaguars news that’s fit to print... or find from around the Internet.

We’ve got all of Urban Meyer’s coaching hires (so far), potential draft targets from Florida, and more.

Tracking Urban Meyer’s hires so far, which assistants will join his staff?

New Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer has already been on the job for over two weeks, using much of that time putting together his first NFL coaching staff.

The Jaguars have yet to make any official announcements on hirings related to Meyer’s coaching staff, but there have been numerous reports about the coaches who are slated to join Meyer in Jacksonville in 2021.

Here, we try to update the latest news for each role.

Brian Schottenheimer joins Jaguars as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jaguars have reached an agreement with former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to take on the roles of passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach with the Jacksonville staff.

The news comes just a week after former Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell will be taking on the same role with the Jaguars.

3 former Florida Gators players the Jaguars should target in the NFL Draft

In his introductory press conference, Trent Baalke said he’s learned from his past mistakes and if that’s the case, the Jaguars will be in a prime position to quickly turn things around after finishing the 2020 season 1-15. The team has 11 draft selections at their disposal and four of them in the first two rounds.

While the Jaguars need to add talent to their defense, they will likely take a quarterback with the first overall pick in 2021’s draft. However, they should also add a few weapons to an offense that finished 30th in points last season. For that reason, they need to target these three Florida Gators in the selection meeting.

Penn State assistant Tyler Bowen to join Jaguars as tight ends coach

The Jaguars have reportedly hired former Penn State co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Tyler Bowen to be the new tight ends coach under Urban Meyer, according to Sean Fitz.

What is the most pressing need for this Jaguars roster?

Maybe no team is poised to have a more important offseason for their short- and long-term future than the Jaguars entering 2021. The team has a new head coach in Urban Meyer, a new general manager in Trent Baalke, and eventually a new quarterback to lead the franchise.

But the Jaguars are fresh off a 1-15 season and have a lot of work ahead of them if they want to get back to being a competitive team. A 12-36 record over the last three seasons summarizes just how much the Jaguars’ roster has deteriorated in recent years.

But which of the team’s many needs are the most pressing? Which positions deserve the most attention and thought as the Jaguars navigate the offseason? We will go through what we see as the team’s eight largest needs in a series of articles that examines two needs at a time.

BCC Q&A: Will the Jaguars trade up in the 2021 NFL Draft?

In last week’s Q&A column, we talked about the Senior Bowl, trading draft picks, NFL quarterbacks wielding too much power, and (of course) Trevor Lawrence.
