2021 Jacksonville Jaguars free agency: Live blog for Day 1 of legal tampering

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals Katie Stratman-USA TODAY Sports

The 2021 edition of NFL free agency officially begins for the Jacksonville Jaguars at 12pm EST today.

This is our Super Bowl, folks.

We’re going to try and gather every piece of news, every rumor, and every update in our live blogs through the rest of the week right here. We love you all.

10:45 PM: Sigh. I really wanted Dalvin Tomlinson in Jacksonville.

10:14 PM: Another likely miss by the Jaguars. They need help in the secondary and Mike Hilton could have been a contributor from Day 1.

7:10 PM: It’s a homecoming for Carlos Hyde, who has experience playing under Urban Meyer.

6:55 PM: Well, he’s fast. Urban Meyer likes fast.

6:33 PM: I... don’t understand football.

6:27 PM: That’s your pass rusher move for the day, folks. Dawuane Smoot had a good bounce back year last season, but I still would have liked to have seen Carl Lawson in teal.

4:19 PM: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

3:39 PM: Special teams is incredibly important to Urban Meyer, so it’s no surprise that Jamal Agnew is one of his first signings.

3:14 PM: Oh.

3:12 PM: Roy Robertson-Harris is coming to Jacksonville. He’ll help beef up what was one of the worst defensive lines in football last season.

2:00 PM: The Jaguars aren’t likely to get Matt Judon.

12:59 PM: Jonnu Smith going to the New England Patriots. Hunter Henry is the next best tight end on the market.

12:21 PM: Shaq Barrett is staying with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sigh.

12:00 PM: LET’S GOOOOOOOOOO!

10:11 AM: A little more context on Shaquil Barrett. He’s still very good, folks.

8:33 AM: The Jaguars seem to be going all in on veteran defenders this offseason. Is this 2017? WHAT YEAR IS IT?

8:00 AM: From last night, John Shipley over at Sports Illustrated knocked it out of the park with this feature on Urban Meyer and how his relationships will come into play during free agency. Read it, y’all.

6:06 AM: Andrew Norwell is staying in Jacksonville for at least one more season. Looks like the offensive line is set. There are position groups that need a lot more help than offensive line, and I think Urban Meyer knows that.
