Neither player were at camp today.
This doesn’t mean that the two have tested positive for COVID-19, but it could mean that they were in close contact with someone who did test positive for the virus. This comes after a Monday practice where neither player were participants in practice.
Beathard and Wilson are the latest two Jaguars to be placed on the list, following DBs Luq Barcoo and Chris Claybrooks, and CJ Henderson. Barcoo and Claybrooks are back at practice, but Henderson has yet to make his 2021 debut. QB Jake Luton was recently taken off the list.
According to the Washington Post, the NFL is reaching a 90% vaccination rate for the entire league, but a lot of other teams have had problems with players being placed on their COVID-19 list. For example, the Minnesota Vikings recently placed multiple QBs on their Reserve/COVID-19 list, including Kirk Cousins. According to Jaguars Head Coach Urban Meyer, above 80% of the team is vaccinated.
