Second year cornerback CJ Henderson has been named among trade targets for the New Orleans Saints, according to the Times-Picayune’s Jeff Duncan.
No surprise here, but the Saints are exploring available options in the trade market for a cornerback, including C.J. Henderson of the Jaguars. Stay tuned.

The Saints are in the market for corner help, especially with the loss of Janoris Jenkins in the offseason. Although they added Paulson Adebo from Stanford in the NFL Draft, they are still in need of explosiveness at the position.
Henderson has been an interesting player to follow going into the 2021 offseason. After a 2020 which saw him record up and down play amongst injuries. In the offseason, Henderson has dealt with COVID-19 issues, resulting in only being at a few practices before missing Sunday’s scrimmage. Jaguars Head Coach Urban Meyer said he missed the scrimmage due to “personal reasons,” and he doesn’t know if Henderson can overcome what he’s dealing with. After the scrimmage, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler mentioned that teams believe CJ Henderson will be made available via trade.

Despite this, Henderson was the ninth overall pick in 2020, and has the athletic talent and potential to turn his career around.
