The Jacksonville Jaguars (0-0) and Houston Texans (0-0) are battling it out in the Week 1 season opener.
Before the game begins, we wanted to ask the Big Cat Country team (and you!) a simple question:
“How will the Jaguars do today?”
Alfie Crow (@AlfieBCC)
Trevor Lawrence settles in his first game and the offense does enough to outlast a Texans team in shambles.
Jaguars win 27-17
Ryan Day (@ryaneatscake)
The Jaguars have better players at nearly every offensive position and (certainly) the better quarterback.
Jaguars win 24-20
Ryan O’Bleness (@ryanobleness)
The Houston Texans have had an offseason full of turmoil, and the team’s roster does not look to be very competitive. The Jacksonville Jaguars begin a new era led by Urban Meyer and Trevor Lawrence. I expect some mistakes and growing pains from the Jaguars, but this is one of the few teams Jacksonville plays this season where it clearly has a more talented roster than the opposition. Jaguars find a way to get the victory.
Jaguars win 31-20
JP Acosta (@acosta32_jp)
Trevor Lawrence starts off his Jaguars career with a bang and the defense forces two turnovers. Oh God, am I feeling optimistic about a Jaguars game?
Jaguars win 35-21
Demetrius Harvey (@Demetrius82)
This may not be the exact score, but the sentiments remain the same. I have no faith in the Houston Texans’ offense and I’m not sure I will ever. Their defense is also very make-shift in that they acquired a lot of pieces, but it’s tough to see where they fit. I think the Jaguars will win and win big in this one, led by the No. 1 overall pick, quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Jaguars win 31-7
John Shipley (@_John_Shipley)
Jaguars don’t roll over the Texans, but Trevor Lawrence is good enough to give them a 14-point win late in the game.
Jaguars win 27-13
