Jaguars allow 21 unanswered points, lose 31-19

Jacksonville falls to 0-3 on the season

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Jacksonville Jaguars Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

The Jaguars fall to 0-3 on the season after losing to the Arizona Cardinals 31-19. Jacksonville had a 19-10 lead after a James Robinson touchdown run, but following a Cardinals TD, Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence threw a pick six to Byron Murphy, taking all of the wind out of Duval’s sails.

Lawrence finished 22-34 with a touchdown and two interceptions. Jamal Agnew returned a missed Matt Prater field goal 109 yards to end the half, tied for the longest in NFL history. James Robinson had his most impressive game this season, running for 89 yards and a touchdown.

The Jaguars defense held an explosive Cardinals offense to limited production through the first three quarters, with Andrew Wingard getting the first turnover of the season for the Jaguars defense. Kyler Murray finished with 316 passing yards and a rushing touchdown, but James Conner had two rushing touchdowns to help the Cardinals to a win.

The Jaguars will have to shake this win off quickly, as they travel to Cincinnati to play the Bengals on Thursday night.
