Welcome to Week 12!
The Jacksonville Jaguars (7-3) will take on the Houston Texans (6-4) at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 26 at NRG Stadium. The Jags are 1.5-point favorites, according to our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook, and the total is set at 48.5 points.
This week’s biggest storyline is the fight for the AFC South. Will Levis and the Titans were discarded as a legit threat last week, and the Colts haven’t been a serious contender since Gardner Minshew took the reigns.
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans has the second-highest odds in DraftKings’ Coach of the Year market; no. 2 overall pick C.J. Stroud is a heavy favorite for Offensive Player of the Year and boasts the fifth-lowest MVP odds; and no. 3 overall pick Will Anderson Jr. owns the third-lowest Defensive Player of the Year odds. Houston has launched from a modest rebuild to immediate playoff expectations under those first-year leaders.
One of Houston’s six wins this season came in Week 3 at Jacksonville. Everything that could have gone wrong for the Jaguars, did, as ugly turnovers, secondary miscues and special teams blunders snowballed into a 37-17 home loss. Can the Jags get their revenge and create separation within the AFC South?
