The Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly received great news on Saturday as, per NFL-insider Ian Rapoport, Trevor Lawrence has cleared the concussion protocol and will travel with the team to Tampa to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
While there has been no "official" word from the team, multiple reports have now confirmed the same, and that Lawrence will start on Sunday.
Lawrence is set to make his 49th straight start, with the team fighting for a 2nd consecutive AFC South title. The Jaguars sit at 8-6, in a virtual tie with both the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans, who both have the same record. While the game versus Tampa is not a "must-win", it would go a long way toward solidifying the team's playoff standing.
This is now Lawrence's third 2023 injury, and potentially his fifth injury of his career that was initially projected to result in game-time lost, yet every time Lawrence would wind up playing the next week.
Never bet against Trevor Lawrence playing. You can never truly count him out.
