Happy Holidays, folks!
Monday Night Football kicks off tonight at 8:15 p.m. ET as the San Francisco 49ers host the Baltimore Ravens at Levi’s Stadium. The Niners are 6-point favorites, according to our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook, and the total is set at 47 points.
There are two more games on the Christmas Day slate -- Raiders vs. Chiefs and Giants vs. Eagles -- but tonight’s matchup is the belle of the ball. The 49ers and Ravens currently lead their respective conferences, have the best odds to win Super Bowl LVIII, and roster the top three frontrunners for MVP.
Brock Purdy is the favorite at -260 odds, with Lamar Jackson (+400) and Christian McCaffrey (+750) right behind him. Purdy made a case for McCaffrey to win the award last week, though most ball-watchers would probably argue that Jackson lifts his teammates more than any other player in the league. The result of this contest figures to have significant implications in the narrative-driven MVP race.
Here are our staff’s picks for tonight’s game.
