Notable injuries

Trevor Lawrence sustained an ankle injury tonight, and it did not look pretty. It came on a fourth-quarter play where Walker Little stepped on Lawrence’s ankle. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear to be as significant as it seemed at first.

Little was also knicked up by the collision, as he left with a hamstring injury. Gregory Junior (hamstring) and Foley Fatukasi (ankle) exited earlier in the fourth quarter.

Christian Kirk injured his groin on the Jaguars’ first offensive play of the game, and Tre Herndon left in the first quarter to be tested for a concussion. They were both ruled out to return at halftime.

Andre Cisco departed in the second quarter with a shoulder injury, though he returned the following possession.

One lingering question

Can this team overcome injuries on a short week at Cleveland? Obviously, Lawrence’s status will be one to monitor assuming he even has a chance to play next week. But Kirk and Little are significant blows in their own right, and the defense fell apart against Jake Browning -- Jake Browning! -- with so many hurting players. Jacksonville had been a relatively healthy team under Doug Pederson until disaster struck tonight.
