The Jaguars have swept the Titans three times in franchise history

Happy Tennessee Titans Hate Week part two, Big Cat Country! When the Jacksonville Jaguars played the Titans during Week 11, we took a look at the Jaguars beating the Titans at home throughout the decades, series results before Week 11, and players who have played for both teams. With the AFC South and attempting to win back-to-back division titles since 1998-1999 on the line, let’s revisit the seasons in which the Jaguars have swept the Titans.

1997 Season


Week 10: at Alltel Stadium on November 2, 1997
Final score: Oilers 24 - Jaguars 30

Chris Hudson, Pete Mitchell, and Mark Brunell scored touchdowns. Mark Brunell threw for 169 yards. James Stewart led the team with 99 rushing yards, and Jimmy Smith led with 50 receiving yards. Mike Hollis made three out of three field goals. Chris Hudson had an interception, and Clyde Simmons had a sack.

Week 12: at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium on November 16, 1997
Final score: Jaguars 17 - Oilers 9

Keenan McCardell and Natrone Means scored touchdowns. Mark Brunell threw for 267 yards. Natrone Means led the team with 67 rushing yards, and Jimmy Smith led with 158 receiving yards. Mike Hollis made the field goal. Eddie Robinson and Dave Thomas both had an interception.

2005 Season


Week 11: at The Coliseum on November 20, 2005
Final score: Jaguars 31 - Titans 28
Attendance: 69,149

Kyle Brady, Byron Leftwich, Ernest Wilford, and Matt Jones scored touchdowns. Byron Leftwich completed 22 out of 38 attempted passes for 258 yards. Greg Jones led the team with 33 rushing yards, and Jimmy Smith led with 89 receiving yards. Derrick Wimbush averaged 24.00 yards in kickoff returns, and Alvin Pearman averaged 11.50 yards in punt returns. Chris Hanson punted six times for 301 yards. Josh Scobee made the field goal attempt. Kenny Wright had an interception. Daryl Smith and Paul Spicer recorded tackles.

Week 17: at Alltel Stadium on January 1, 2006
Final score: Titans 13 - Jaguars 40
Attendance: 65,485

Alvin Pearman, LaBrandon Toefield, Derrick Wimbush, Matt Jones, and Ernest Wilford scored touchdowns. David Garrard completed ten out of 16 attempted passes for 128 yards. LaBrandon Toefield led the team with 102 rushing yards, and Matt Jones led with 55 receiving yards. Derrick Wimbush averaged 26.50 yards in kickoff returns, and Alvin Pearman averaged 10.33 yards in punt returns. Chris Hanson punted three times for 116 yards. Josh Scobee made four out of five point after attempts and both field goal attempts. Rashean Mathis had an interception. Bobby McCray recorded a sack.

2022 Season


Week 14: at Nissan Stadium on December 11, 2022
Final score: Jaguars 36 - Titans 22
Attendance: 68,409

Evan Engram, Zay Jones, and Trevor Lawrence scored touchdowns. Trevor Lawrence completed 30 out of 42 attempted passes for 368 yards. Travis Etienne led the team with 32 rushing yards, and Evan Engram led with 162 receiving yards. Jamal Agnew averaged 21.00 yards in kickoff returns and 6.67 yards in punt returns. Logan Cooke punted three times for 133 yards. Riley Patterson made three out of three field goal attempts. Andrew Wingard had an interception. Arden Key, Josh Allen, Travon Walker, and Folorunso Fatukasi recorded sacks.

Week 18: at TIAA Bank Field on January 7, 2023
Final score: Titans 16 - Jaguars 20
Attendance: 70,050

Christian Kirk and Josh Allen scored touchdowns. Trevor Lawrence completed 20 out of 32 attempted passes for 212 yards. Travis Etienne had 17 rushing yards, and Christian Kirk led the team with 99 receiving yards. Jamal Agnew averaged 31.25 yards in kickoff returns and 16.50 yards in punt returns. Logan Cooke punted four times for 204 yards. Riley Patterson made both field goal attempts. Tyson Campbell had a 29-yard interception. Foyesade Oluokun, Rayshawn Jenkins, and Roy Robertson-Harris recorded one sack. Corey Peters and Adam Gotsis registered 0.5 sacks.
