The Jaguars have placed wide receiver Christian Kirk on the Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return List. He has a 21-day period to be activated onto the active roster.

Kirk was originally placed on injured reserve on Dec. 8 after he sustained a core muscle injury against the Bengals on Monday Night Football. He led the team in targets (84), receiving yards (761), and receiving first downs (33) through the first 12 weeks of the season.

Doug Pederson said Monday, “It was definitely a bad injury for him and bad for our offense. He’s in a position right now to maybe help us this week and we’ll see where he’s at. If we go ahead and open his window on Wednesday and get him out there, see what he can do. You definitely want your best players on the field this time of year and he’s one of those players for us.”

There’s a chance Kirk could play in Week 18 against the Titans, though a postseason return is more likely. Either way, it’s safe to say he attacked rehab to get to where he is today.
