Day 15 of Jaguars (-3) 2024 Training Camp has wrapped up at the Miller Electric Center practice fields, as the team is set for their Wednesday and Thursday joint practices with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3) and Saturday’s Week Two preseason matchup. Today the team was fully padded, giving fans an opportunity to see offensive line/defensive line 1-on-1s. Here are today’s highlights, social media updates, and other observations from the field that you may have missed.
Practice notes:
In preparation for Wednesday's and Thursday’s joint practices, NFL officials were present at practice today. They will be at this week's joint practices and helping the team to work through any rule changes or points of emphasis this season.

The QBs all started off hot today, in 4-on-4 (half-field 7-on-7 drills) completing their first eight passes in the period, one for a touchdown. Lawrence was 3 of 3, Beathard was 2 of 2 with a touchdown, and Jones was 3 of 3. However, once 11-on-11 began things got a lot more difficult for the offense with multiple run stuffs and incompletions in the period. In game terms, offense won early on, defense won quarters two and three, and the fourth quarter was a back-and-forth affair as the offense hit multiple big plays.
While it was a highly competitive day early on for the defense, there will be some things to clean up within the secondary late, as today’s practice had multiple catches by the Jaguars offense where the receiver had obviously way too much space, indicating a bad read or a potential coverage bust.

Mac Jones pass complete to Josiah Deguara. He was wide open.
See any trends there? Each of these occurred within 10 minutes of each other and two happened in the end-of-half 4-minute drill 11-on-11 period. This is in addition to WR Austin Trammell’s trick play touchdown which occurred in the same period, where he threw the TD pass to RB D’Ernest Johnson.

For your good news, practice is where you clean up these items as players continue to grow within the scheme. Looking forward to continued growth in this area for the secondary and linebacker core as we progress throughout the next few weeks of camp.
Today’s players of note:
- QB Trevor Lawrence
Lawrence started the day going 2-6 in todays’ 7-on-7 period. However, one of those incompletions was an intermediate-level fastball down the field to Travis Etienne that ricocheted off one of his hands. Unlike yesterday’s throw to Bigby this one was not intercepted, and reasonably should have been caught. Etienne had just gotten his head around and didn’t see it coming while running the route. Nevertheless, Lawrence quickly improved in the final 11-on-11 period going two of two in the period, with big gains on both receptions. It was an otherwise, day of tight coverage, checkdowns, and efficient offense within the other drills.
- K Cam Little
Rookie kicker Cam Little reportedly was 5/6 on field goals for today in the teams periods, at one time going five for five, before missing his final kick from long distance. The young kicker is truly showing off as of late.

- WR Brian Thomas Jr
Thomas Jr had an extremely busy day today, and probably one of his best days of camp so far getting the action started early in 4-on-4 drills on this sideline completion from Lawrence with Christian Braswell in coverage

He followed this catch up with a big gainer on the ground (explosive running play) in 11-on-11 where he was pitched the ball. During the following 7-on-7 period BTJ caught a truly impressive sideline grab over Tre Flowers, as the rookie continues to come into his own.
Second day in a row where #Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. made an impressive snag, really think he’s gotten more confident. Continues to get better every day.

- DT Davon Hamilton
Hamiliton continues to make plays, and we continue to discuss him! It’s refreshing seeing him back to his 2022-self.

Davon Hamilton vs Mitch Morse

- RT Anton Harrison
With Harrison now returned from his stint in the concussion protocol, it’s great to see him immediately matched up against the team’s best pass rusher and winning both reps.

Anton Harrison vs Josh Hines-Allen
Harrison won back to back reps vs JHA
However, Hines-Allen would later have his revenge, quickly winning a later 1-on-1 rep vs Harrison.
- RB Jalen Jackson
It seems that every single practice Jackson has 1-2 plays to make you say, he belongs on the roster. Today’s play was an incredible high-point, one-handed catch in 7-on-7 period, where he brought down the Mac Jones pass with one hand, with Tanner Muse in coverage.
Other Notes:
- CB Erick Hallett II
Hallett came down with a pretty athletic interception, corralling the CJ Beathard pass after it bounced off of Brevin Easton’s chest and hands in 7-on-7.
- Parker Washington
Washington continues to build upon his great camp and preseason opening performance, coming down with a shorter contested catch in today’s 11-on-11 period, with Deantre Prince in extremely tight coverage on his back. He had an additional catch in 7-on-7 with Darnell Savage in coverage also.
- WR Joshua Cephus
The rookie UDFA WR brought in a TD in 4-on-4 from CJ Beathard, with Antonio Oruwariye in coverage. He also had another intermediate Mac Jones catch in 7-on-7, though a quieter day in 11-on-11 today. He barely missed completing a toe-tap sideline catch from CJ Beathard, where the referees called the second foot out.
- LT Cam Robinson
Robinson won his initial 1-on-1 rep against Travon Walker. However, OLB Trevis Gipson won against Robinson with a quick inside move on his next rep.
- OLB Breeland Speaks
Speaks, following up his impressive Saturday performance showed a nice inside swim move winning this rep versus OT Walker Little.

Walker Little vs Breeland Speaks
They split back to back reps. Little won the 1st reps. Speaks won with a swim move the second time.
Injury Updates:
- DT Arik Armstead was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list hours after practice had wrapped up. It would seem he is recovered from his offseason meniscus surgery.
- LB Foye Oluokun was held out due to hamstring tightness he suffered during Saturday’s matchup.
- LB Ventrell Miller practiced in full while wearing the red non-contact jersey today, likely due to his broken hand.
- LG Ezra Cleveland returned to practice today from his ankle/heel injury he sustained a week ago.
- RB/RS Keilan Robinson was limited in practice from his toe sprain sustained in OTAs.
- TE Patrick Murtagh did not practice after breaking his ankle a week ago. No roster moves have been made to date to indicate the team’s next steps.
- S Andrew Wingard again missed practice due to the “significant” knee injury he sustained two weeks ago. No roster moves have been made to date to indicate the team’s next steps. However, Coach Pederson on Monday provided an expectation that Wingard would likely be out approximately 6-7 weeks.
- S Darnell Savage practiced in full while still wearing the non-contact red jersey today. The team previously said they would be cautious during his recovery from a 2023 torn rotator cuff.
