Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert injured his shoulder three weeks ago against the Oakland Raiders, forcing him out of the game in the second half. It was reported, but never confirmed by the team, that Gabbert suffered a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder, but didn't miss any time after the initial injury.

Against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night, Gabbert went down hard on his already injured shoulder late in the game and was forced out.

"I just thought where we were with the score, with a guy who had just gotten injured, I didn't think it was worth the risk," Jaguars Head Coach Mike Mularkey told reporters after the game. "I didn't think it would have been very smart on our part to put him back out there."

Gabbert once again plans to play through his injury, however.

"I'm going to do my best and be ready to roll," Gabbert told reporters after the game.
