Eben Britton, Cameron Bradfield injury: Jaguars lineman back in full pads

The Jacksonville Jaguars got good news in the form of offensive lineman Eben Britton and Cameron Bradfield, as both returned to practice in full pads.

Phil Sears-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Offensive lineman Eben Britton and Cameron Bradfield returned to practice in full pads on Wednesday, which should bring a sigh of relief to most Jacksonville Jaguars pads. Both Britton and Bradfield went down in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings with leg injuries. Once those two went out of the lineup, the Jaguars offense seemed to be stuck in neutral.

If Bradfield and Britton can make it through the week of practice and are able to start on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals it should be a big boost to the Jaguars offense. Through the past two weeks, the Jaguars offense has been very conservative and has even led to offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski mentioning the team has had concerns about protection for quarterback Blaine Gabbert in the passing game.

Through the preseason for the most part and Week 1, the Jaguars passing offense looked at least functional. With an upgrade at the right tackle position, it should open it up quite a bit more and also open up Marcedes Lewis in the passing game, who's been held in to block more than the team would like.
