The Jacksonville Jaguars open up the regular season against the Kansas City Chiefs, who currently hold the No. 1 overall pick and most expect them to draft offensive lineman Luke Joeckel. The Jaguars on the other hand hold the No. 2 overall pick in the draft and the most commonly mocked player to the Jaguars is Oregon pass rusher Dion Jordan.

So, for Week 1 of the 2013 NFL season we could see the first overall and second overall pick battling it out on the football field. Can Jordan, if he's a Jaguar, get the better of Joeckel?

That's the most likely scenario going forward, but some other possibilities are also out there.

While unlikely, it's possible the Chiefs could be opening the season against West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith, who many had pegged to the Chiefs until the trade for Alex Smith was completed.

The Jacksonville Jaguars play both the AFC and NFC West during the 2013 NFL season, which hasn't been a set of kind road trips for the team historically. The last couple of times the Jaguars have traveled west, they've been beaten down.

On the schedule this year the team has back-to-back games on the west coast, which likely means they'll be staying on the west coast rather than traveling back and forth from Jacksonville to the west coast.

"We will most likely stay on the west coast following the Raiders game so we will be spending a lot of time together," Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley told Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union.

The Jacksonville Jaguars schedule has been released in full, so do you like it? Is it a good schedule, a bad one? As it stands right now the Jaguars have the 13th most difficult schedule in the NFL.

The team opens the season at home against the Kansas City Chiefs, which could be winnable depending on the Jaguars quarterback situation and how Alex Smith winds up playing with his new team. The Jaguars end the season with three straight home games, including one in primetime, and then close out against the Indianapolis Colts on the road.

I think the first two games for the Jaguars appear to be "soft" and winnable games, depending on the draft etc., but then it appears to be a murderous row of games.

The 2013 NFL schedule was released this afternoon, so we now know what order the Jaguars will be playing the teams on the schedule going forward. The team starts the season out against the Kansas City Chiefs at home and will finish up against the Indianapolis Colts on the road.

The Jaguars once again get just one primetime game in 2013, as all teams get one with the expansion of Thursday Night Football on NFL Network. On Week 14, the Jaguars will host the Houston Texans for a Thursday night game.
