With the offense only scoring nine points against the Steelers, it's hard to find much to be proud of on that side of the ball. But according to Pro Football Focus, the offensive line is playing the best it has all season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars only scored nine points against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, and they even gifted the opponent seven points thanks to a Blake Bortles pick-six interception.

But even in the midst of an anemic offense yesterday, the Jaguars offensive line probably played their best game of the season.

According to Pro Football Focus, every member of the offensive line scored a positive post-game grade for the first time this season. That's a far cry from Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles when every offensive lineman scored a negative grade.

Rookie right guard Brandon Linder led the group with 1.9 rating and third-year right tackle Austin Pasztor was right behind him with a 1.8 rating. Second-year left tackle Luke Joeckel graded out with a 1.3 rating despite some struggles in run blocking. Rookie center Luke Bowanko (0.5) and veteran left guard Zane Beadles (0.4) rounded out the group with nearly identical scores.

In fact, Pro Football Focus only credit one member of the group, Pasztor, with a sack. No hurries, no hits on the quarterback, just one sack all game against a very decent Steelers pass rush.

With only eight seasons of play between all five offensive linemen, we knew it was going to be an uphill battle. And run blocking is still certainly a concern, although Toby Gerhart isn't doing the group any favors with only 2.6 yards per carry and one touchdown through five games.

But it's good to see that they're doing well overall, and that their strength is pass protection for a rookie quarterback who will be making only his third start this weekend against the Tennessee Titans.

On Sunday the Jaguars mascot made a joke about the Steelers "Terrible Towels" with ebola as the punch line and a lot of people got upset.

On Sunday Jacksonville Jaguars mascot rode around on his Segway with signs mocking Pittsburgh Steelers fans, as he does every Sunday for Jaguars home games to every fan base, but his joke about the Steelers infamous "Terrible Towel" wasn't taken lightly by a lot of people around the country and internally.

Ebola is a recent matter of topic in the United States because of some of the exposure scares and Jaxson DeVille thought he was just making a topical joke on the issue, much like NBC's Saturday Night Live did Saturday evening.

There was a big push back from people deploring the joke, though they had no issues shaming a fully clothed person in a swimming pool, but the push back was enough for the Jacksonville Jaguars to release a public statement on the matter to the media.

The statement reads as follows:

"Improvisation and humor have both been key elements to the character of Jaxson DeVille, especially when he performs at home games," Jaguars President Mark Lamping said. "On Sunday, the person who has played Jaxson DeVille over the past 20 seasons made an extremely poor decision in that regard. The team was unaware of this inappropriate sign, which was hand-made by Jaxson during the fourth quarter of yesterday's game, until after it had been displayed. We are handling the matter internally and taking it very seriously. We extend our sincerest apologies to anyone who was offended."

Personally, I don't get why there is such a blow back on the joke, but maybe I'm just a terrible person.

Rookie quarterback Blake Bortles said there was a number of decisions he wishes he could take back, but the one at the top of his list is the fourth quarter interception that was returned for a touchdown.

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost 19-7 to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, thanks in part to an anemic offense and a rookie quarterback making understandable, yet frustrating, mistakes.

One such mistake occurred at the beginning of the fourth quarter. With the Jaguars trailing 10-9, the Steelers were driving. Already in field goal range, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger rolled to his left and was hit from behind by Abry Jones, who forced a fumble. Andre Branch quickly jumped on it.

Jaguars now have the ball and they're only down by a point.

But just two plays later, Bortles throws a pick six interception to Brice McCain on a pass intended to Allen Hurns on the right sideline.

In addition to blaming Bortles for making a poor decision and throw, many immediately blamed offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch's playcalling and his unwillingness to attack the middle of the field.

After the game, however, Bortles said that the original play was a run and that he checked out of it in favor of a pass.

"I checked to it. It wasn’t a good check anyway," Bortles said immediately following the game. "I should have stayed with the play that was called, but it just a bad read by me. Allen [Hurns] was right. Worst case scenario, I should have just thrown it over his head and given us a shot on third down."

So what was the play originally?

"It was a run. I just saw guys walk up. It wasn’t a good decision. We could have kept the run on and it wouldn’t have been a bad play. It would have given us a shot and it’s something that I can’t make that mistake again and definitely can’t check out of play into a pick six."

Bortles and his second-guessing can be a double-edged sword. It's good to learn from his mistakes and either make better reads or go with what you have and live to fight another day. But he was drafted with the No. 3 overall pick to one day check out of a play based on what the defense is showing and switch to a different play that will yield a better result.

Throughout the course of the game, the Jaguars never had more than a 41% chance of winning against the Steelers.

The Jacksonville Jaguars hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday and according to science and mathematics never really stood much of a chance.

According to the fine folks at Gambletron, the Jaguars were as good as 41% favorites to win as late as the fourth quarter, when Abry Jones stripped Ben Roethlisberger and Andre Branch recovered.

Having a 41% chance of winning at the beginning of the fourth quarter is the most competitive the team has been all year, but it didn't stay that way for long.

The graph makes a dramatic shift towards the Steelers right after Brice McCain's pick-six interception of Blake Bortles, going from 59% in Pittsburgh's favor to 76% in less than a minute of game time.

From that interception on, it slowly progressed upwards for the Steelers until time expired.

Blake Bortles tossed two interceptions in a 17-9 loss to the Steelers.

The Jaguars defense did enough to get a victory, but Blake Bortles and the offense managed just three field goals against a usually porous Pittsburgh defense in a 17-9 loss. The Jaguars' rookie quarterback looked the part at times, but struggled in others and finished the game 22-of-36 for 191 yards and two interceptions. While one of his interceptions was essentially an arm punt, the second was a back-breaker for the Jaguars in a close game.

Following the loss, the Jaguars are now 0-5 and help is not on the way. They will next travel to face the Tennessee Titans, as the Jaguars are still looking for their first victory of 2014.

Three things we learned

1. Bortles is a rookie: Drops severely hurt the rhythm of the Jaguars offense, but that excuse isn't enough to absolve Blake Bortles of any blame for the poor offensive performance of the team. Simply put, he looked like a rookie. There were flashes of brilliance and there were plays that you'd expect a 22-year-old quarterback to make. Most notable was a fourth-quarter interception that was returned for a touchdown, eliminating all momentum for Jacksonville.

2. The defense can hang in there: The Jaguars defense is not good...I'm not saying that they are, but they did enough for the team to get a win on Sunday. Only 10 of the points scored by the Pittsburgh offense came against the Jaguars defense and, while the defense sure bent a lot, it never broke. Most of that credit belongs on the secondary, who finally managed to avoid being in the complete wrong area to allow big plays.

3. Allen Hurns needs time: Once upon a time, Allen Hurns took the NFL by storm. It lasted one quarter as his two first quarter touchdowns in the team's Week 1 opener set expectations high. He's an undrafted rookie. Remember that. He has a bad case of the dropsies and will need some work before he's ready to make a legitimate impact for the Jaguars. That's not a terrible thing considering the same can be said for Bortles and multiple other young players on the team.

Here's your open discussion thread to talk about anything and everything during the second half of the Jaguars and Steelers matchup in Week 5.

It's halftime of the Week 5 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Jaguars may be down 10-6, but they'll get the ball to start the second half and in a four-point game anything could happen.

The Jaguars are keeping it competitive, with bend-but-don't-break defense and an offense that's controlling the clock with long, sustained drives. Only one three-and-out all game for the Jaguars.

The second half is almost here. How do you think the Jaguars are going to close out this game?
